About Us

The International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research (INCTR) is an international not-for-profit, non-governmental organization established to address a neglected global health problem – the ever-increasing burden of cancer in low and middle-income countries.

INCTR is dedicated to helping to build capacity for cancer prevention, treatment (including palliative care) and research and to improve access to needed care in order to lessen the suffering and limit the number of lives lost from cancer in countries with limited resources.

Through its programs, INCTR assists low and middle-income countries (LMIC) to promote research collaboration, to provide education and training that will lead to an increased understanding of the causes of and predisposition to regionally important cancers in these countries, and to increase survival rates and the quality of life of all patients with cancer.

INCTR is located in Brussels. It currently has branches in Brazil, Canada, France, India, and the USA and an office in the UK.

  • To promote international collaboration directed towards cancer control between technologically advanced countries and countries with limited resources. This will be accomplished through the development of networks and partnerships with corporate, professional, academic, governmental and non-governmental organizations which will bring together their special expertise to bear upon all aspects of cancer research and cancer control.
